In almost all of the highly developed countries, the whole procedure of the Qurbani is much easier and environment-friendly. To do the rituals one must take the purchased livestock to the specific location then perform the slaughter there only. Then the meat and bone that is eatable are given to people and the remaining part of the livestock is sent to the dumping area or for reuse. This aids in keeping the environment safe and the meat, disease-free.

দূষণ শব্দটি শুনলেই শহরবাসী আঁতকে ওঠে। নানারকম দূষণ হচ্ছে আজকাল। এমনই এক দূষণের নাম গৃহস্থ বায়ুদূষণ (Indoor Air Pollution)। এ দূষণের নাম হয়তো অনেকের কাছে নতুন মনে হতে পারে; কিন্তু এই দূষণ সেই প্রাগৈতিহাসিক সময় থেকে হয়ে এসেছে- মানুষ যখন আগুন ব্যবহার করে রান্না করতে এবং নিজেকে উষ্ণ রাখতে শিখেছে তখন থেকেই এ দূষণের সূচনা।

কুরবানি পশুর বর্জ্যও সম্পদ

সলিম উম্মাহর জন্য ঈদুল আজহা বা কুরবানির ঈদ একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠান। কুরবানি শব্দের পারিভাষিক অর্থ হলো- নৈকট্য লাভ, ত্যাগ, বিসর্জন, উৎসর্গ ইত্যাদি। একমাত্র আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি অর্জনের জন্য আল্লাহর নামে নির্দিষ্ট নিয়মে নির্দিষ্ট পশু (প্রিয়) জবেহ করাকে কুরবানি বলে। সামর্থ্যবানদের জন্য এটি ফরজ ইবাদত। কিন্তু আমরা বেশিরভাগ মানুষ ঈদের আনন্দে বিমোহিত হয়ে পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতার কথা ভুলে যাই। হাদিস শরিফে আছে ‘পবিত্রতা হলো ইমানের অংশ’- সহিহ মুসলিম : ৪২৭।
