USAID’s Compass in collaboration with the Center for Atmospheric Pollution Studies (CAPS), Stamford University Bangladesh (SUB) celebrated the international day for the preservation of the ozone layer from 14-15 September 2022 at SUB Campus. The day highlighted the importance of the preservation of the ozone layer for the living being on earth. The event includes quiz and essay competitions, rally & seminars. Among others, Barrister Shamim Haider Patwary, MP, Member, Climate Parliament Bangladesh, Fatinaaz Feroz, Chairman, Board of Trustees, SUB, Professor Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain, Vice Chancellor, Eastern University, Mr. Ashraful Haque, Project Management Specialist (Environment), Office of the Economic, Growth, USAID, Mr. Justin Green, Asia Pacific Program Manager, US Forest Service, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Kamruzzaman Majumder, Chairman, CAPS, Advocate Marufa Gulshsn Ara, journalists, youth groups, faculties and students participated in the event.
