Md Sahadat Hossain

I am currently a PhD student and also working as a Graduate Assistant (GA) at Department of Sustainable Resources Management (SRM) at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF). Besides, I am a Lecturer (on leave) at Department of Environmental Science, Stamford University Bangladesh. I have decorated my skills with environmental impact assessment, analysis and visualization, climate science and policy research, hazards and disaster management, environmental pollution and management, natural resource exploitation and management, environmental cost and benefit analysis, renewable resource dilemma, inventory, application and implementation, GIS and Remote Sensing, occupational health and safety, food security and ecotoxicology. Aside of, I am a guest trainer at BKMEA on Environmental Safety, Life Member of NOAMI, Consultant of BiG and Additional Director of Center for Atmospheric Pollution Studies (CAPS). Along with contributing different national and international projects, published more than 32 indexed scientific journals, many indexed proceedings, and abstracts and supervised more than 30 post graduate theses and undergraduate projects. I have awarded my B.Sc (Hons) and MS in Environmental Science from Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. After that I earned my 2nd master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Chongqing University, China funded by Chinese Scholarship Council. Consecutively, I earned my 3rd M.Sc degree in Environmental Science with majoring 'Science for Sustainable Development' at Linkoping University, Sweden as a Swedish Institute scholar. I served for 'Center for Natural Resource Studies' in 'Community Based Sustainable Tanguar Haor' and 'Integrated Protected Area Co-management' Projects as well worked for SEMAC Ltd as 'Senior Research Officer'. Moreover, I was also appointed as 'Consultant' by 'Stangastaden AB' and worked as a team member in their 'Energy Management' Project. Aside of, I am an IRCA certified auditor (Certificate No. 43873507/136409421) on ISO 14001:2015-Environmental Management Systems (Lead Auditor-EMS), has been involved in the field of environmental assessment since 2011. My current research interests are renewable energy for achieving low carbon building, climate change issues and dilemmas as well as sustainable development frameworks application and development.
